Haiku Sunday – Red Rocks Redemption

He drew both pistols

while smiling to himself in

an odd nasty way

Again there was that

face, he could not believe it

would not get bigger

seizing the moments when

all seems lost was the only

hope they had to age well

the only truth was

he had been wronged and someone was

going to pay for it

A Razorback is a

pig with a ridged-back and a

tasty style bacon

Yesterday I had

so few hits on my blog I

want to kill Saint Pat

Red rover red rove

why don’t you bend o’er

and take it no more

answer the phone please

the signal was so weak he

knew she wouldn’t make it

the author sat by

himself as he did not want

accused of flattery

  1. Oh hi there! :)

You have a nice blog here and i like you pictures.

you’re one of those who comment on my blog most so I thought you might like to know that I move on, hemmligt, my father found it … And Yeah … I honestly do not want him to be there…So here is my new blog if you want, I absolutley don’t force you to it ^^

    Have a great day! :)

    • My man, I do not want to be party to any riff between you and your family. I think you have a ton of talent and a great voice in your world. My advice would be to be as open and honest as you are able with your family and hopefully they will support your talents and your blogging endeavors. I am happy to continue to follow and thanks for the heads-up

      • It’s not a riff…It’s more like….Am to shy to show the ‘worl’ what I do..^^

        • hey, I certainly get that. Your art is soulful and with purpose. I know all too well what it is like to be shy and into myself. I am hopeful this very supportive community here on WordPress gives you a little confidence to keep going. I am confident you will have more and more supporters the more you reveal.
I hope you will find it encouraging to know that until I looked at your page more closely I did not know you were not an adult. You have that much insight into the world and I hope you keep going. There is a great line is a song by a wonderful band from my era called “The Smths” The lyric is “shyness is nice and shyness can stop you from doing all the things in life you’d like to” Don’t take my comments as criticism, just know that I support you following your bliss and continuing to create thoughtful art.
          Cheers my friend!
          M

  2. Whoah! You are such a poet … Love each of the lines!

  3. OMG! your images are mind blowing!

  4. Thank you for the giggles, sir. *grins*
I love your pictures, and the sense of humor in the haiku. I wish I had found you yesterday, it would have been better to be here than randomly finding yet another picture of the neon-green evilness that was The River. *rolls eyes*
Green beer, green ketchup, green chocolate syrup…it’s not a holiday, it’s a yearly bonus for the green dye companies. ;) Oh, yeah, and policemen with a quota of DUI’s to fill. Can’t forget them.

    • I enjoy your perspective on a bogus holiday. I am not sure which one of these I find most useless. Valentine’s day or St Patrick’s day. I know I do not like the colors of either :-) . Thanks for the follow and I look forward to your blog

  5. Love all your photos. Can’t believe you are not as successful as you would like to be. Whats the name of the book and who is publishing it. Your breakthrough will come if you don’t give up.

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

    • The 1st book is mostly photos and it will be called “Blissful Adventures – The first five years in pictures”
I am self publishing it through Blurb. It will be for sale on my new website. Thank you for your kind support and inspiration. I am always excited to receive a comment from you :-)

  6. Love the pics! Apparently, green beer doesn’t make you thirsty to read blogs…same here re: St. Pat’s Day. :)

  7. i got caught up in the story there. where’s the haiku? i think i missed it.

  8. Haha… you gave me a good laugh this morning. Love the post. And your pictures are amazing! What I wouldn’t give to see a glimpse of the sun these days. Seattle is living up to it’s reputation right now. :(

  9. Lovely nature shots, Michael. Don’t take the St. Paddy’s day drought too hard. The caliber of comments would likely have been about as fresh and palatable as a carton of expired eggs. :)

    Happy Sunday!

  10. I love Red Rocks. The first time I was there was in summer 1973, then most recently in 1999.

  11. Wonderful haiku and photography. I especially liked the storytelling elements.

  12. My reason is wrong
I too want to kill saint pat,
    Green beer is not good….

  13. On Sunday mornings
    I always awake to find
    Haiku from big dude

  14. Yesterday I had

so few hits on my blog I

    want to kill Saint Pat
    ………… I like that piece

    • I am glad you liked it. I wish I had not the occasion to write it :-) Very cool of you to read and comment.. Cheers!

      • pics are great too. are u a professional photographer? I was proud of the pics i took on my beach holiday until i got to see yours.. brilliant, just brilliant!

        • Thank you very much. I have yet to make money with my camera yet I am trying. I have been shooting very aggressively since 2009 so I am getting there. It really is about practice and perseverance. I have a photo book I am publishing coming out next month so let’s see where that leads.
Thank you for saying hello and I hope you will continue to follow my work.
          Cheers!
          M
