I am using this week’s IMO Thursday to announce Juliet and I are moving to America’s most beautiful city: San Francisco!
Juliet works as a contract medical professional and I am a full-time nascent writer. We have spent the last year+ here in Denver and it has been an amazing time for us. Now, Juliet has accepted a new contract in the bay area and we are off on our next Blissful Adventure in a few short weeks.
I lived in San Francisco for a while before I met Juliet so I am thrilled at this chance to share one of the most beautiful places on earth and the most beautiful city in America with my dear wife.
We will be making a full 7 day drive west through the national parks of Utah, the bright lights of Vegas, and to see some very dear friends in Los Angeles. We are once again on the road, just the way we like it.
Of course this trip will be rife with photos, stories, and likely some unexpected craziness, so you will want to stay tuned here for updates and eventually posts from the road.
Here are some fun photos from our trip to SF in 2007 – The very first trip Juliet and I made together and what set our blissful adventures in motion.

Happy for you both! Best wishes to Juliet with her new job.
thank you! she will be excited to receive your wishes
Esa es la ilusión de mi vida!!, poder vivir en distintos lugares del mundo, conocer distintas culturas, y ver muchos lugares, ¡ojalá se me cumpla el sueño! Tus fotos preciosas, me encantan, abrazos
Gracias por decir esto. Estoy de acuerdo con usted y esa es la forma en la que trato de vivir mi vida. Mi español es muy malo, así que espero no decir algo estúpido
Well I guess UCLA lost out on the lovely Juliet … but San Francisco is MUY awesome. I was up in the Bay Area during my undergrad years and got a chance every once in a while to visit Frisco when I could get away. Love that you’ll be taking a road and and I’ll get to see more of your awesome pictures, especially the ones through Utah (I have yet to visit that state).
Glad you’re coming to the Golden State and glad you’ll be passing through L.A. maybe I’ll run into you and Juliet in traffic … just stay away from the 405 fwy … it’s a killer.
Awesome! Have a great road trip to the Bay area and let me know when you arrive. We’ll catch up over some vino. Cheers.
we can meet somewhere soon I hope
That’s just great!!! Never been to SF but it’s definitely on our list as soon as we have a next trip to USA
Good luck moving there!!
thank you! It is a dream to get back out ther
On the road again! That’s exciting, Michael. You guys are going to have fun. I’m glad you’re headed out!
You’re happiest when you’re moving.
We just vacationed in San Fran and the Pacific Coastal Highway–fabulous!
Pack your coat and scarf! (I believe that Mark Twain said, “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” We could agree with him.)
I lived there before so I am ready this time
Thanks for the heads-up
Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve never been to SF but I agree with you, it looks like to me the most beautiful city in the US …
One day I’ll have to travel there and make the comparison with NYC …
By the way, your third picture (with Juliet) is great !
Cheers
Thank you so much! This is very high praise coming from you and especially since that shot was taken with an old 4mp Canon PowerShot
As a friend o mine told me once, the camera does’t count, it’s the photographer who is the most important !
Lucky you and Juliet! I love SF!
thank you! we are very excited
Welcome back! and Welcome to Juliet! Don’t forget to bring your warm clothes! It’s freezing out here!.. well… almost…
I lived in SF between 2004 and 2006 so we are prepared. I can rocks shorts and a light shirt even at 55 degrees and Juliet is a scarf and fleece felon so she will be ready.

Where are you planning on living?
we will likely live in Palo Alto as that is where Juliet will be working. I will be coming into the city at least 3 days a week
You’re moving to my neck of the woods. Welcome to the best place on earth ~ the Bay Area. Safe travels.
thank you very much! it sounds like we have a neighbor
where in the bay are you?
I’m actually located in the South Bay in Saratoga, next to San Jose. I grew up in this area and there is just so much to do and so many places to go within just a few hours drive. Enjoy!
we will be closer than I knew. We will likely be in Palo Alto
(I will be in the city a few days a week, but mostly we will rock the peninsula)
Palo Alto is great. I hope our paths cross at some point. Keep in touch and let me know if I can help you with anything…except moving boxes.
Looks like so much fun!!! If you ever go to Mama’s….please take pictures
Mama’s? I have an awful memory these days so forgive me if I should know what you mean here
It’s an incredibly restaurant in SF, if you yelp it you will see all kinds of awesome reviews!
I will dive right in
enjoy youselves! God bless and good luck. BTW, awesome photos!
grazie Giancarlo! Thank you for the compliment on these photos from our very early days with the camera
Oh, fantastic. Maybe I can meet up with you two for a glass of wine or some Dim Sum…I live over in the East Bay and go in to the City quite a bit. Congrats on a move to a wonderful place.
Angeline!
I lived in Berkeley for awhile and miss my east bay life. We would very much enjoy meeting you and it is nice to have a neighbor already. Cheers!

Any city that you and Juliet called home would turn into an adventure with you at the helm. San Francisco will make it a little easier however….
Congratulations and good times!
