Haiku Sunday – A Hipstamatic Tour of The West

This week’s Haiku Sunday is a Hipstamatic Move across the West. It has been a bit since I featured this app and since documenting the journey from Colorado to California this week I felt it an appropriate time for the Haiku and Hipsta!

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

here he comes riding

lands that were once his now not

because he is now dead

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

call my agent said

the giant as he made the

valley in two strides

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

writhing about so

obviously and without

fear of consequences

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

Sail on Silver Girl

sail on by, your time has come

to shine…who is it?

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

she stabbed at the ropes

with a toothpick and real hope

free she bled him dry

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

The giant called again.

Yeah, so what? well, he is pissed and

threatened a boulder

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.”

Dante

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

buried up in them hills

is a secret to knowing why all

secrets are not honest

strike strike strike nothing

the serpent fatigued asked the

man how he did it

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

That’s really fucking hot!

Haiku Sunday - The Blissful Adventurer

We made it he said

double double animal style

shake and fries – goodbye!

  1. Somewhere between the haiku and the hipster photos I fell dead. This post is amazing xD hahaha

  2. Laughter, amazement, and sighs.
Between pix and verse a great way to start this week
Great shots – (hard to pick a favorite)

    • I am honored. It seems the poetry was on this week and what is funny is I felt so disjointed when I wrote them (the poems have a life of their own, I am merely the channel)

  3. Your words and pics had me in awe … then pow … the surprise ending! Thanks for the chuckle as well.

  4. Love the “double H” posts! glad they’re back :)

  5. I LOVE the red rock picture and of course the Double-Double. Very awesome. I especially love your ending. Now don’t think I haven’t forgotten about that Haiku. I’m still working on it. It’s become a little bit more challenging. I’m aiming for next Sunday, though. :)

  6. Pretty awesome images and post here Michael ~ and… the shadow capture – YES – wonderful!
Also the words — intrigue and mystery – and humor all wrapped in one. Enjoyed Lots :) Robyn

Dude! You must be the undisputed King of Hipstamatic!

  8. Very nice collection and there’s the deadwood again. Something about it moves me. Makes me want to crawl in there and hang out awhile. :)

  9. Love your giant! And love In and Out!! Great photos.
